TWM Prepares One of First EPA-approved Long Term Control Plans in Illinois

January 2009 – TWM recently completed a Long Term Control Plan for the City of Belleville, Illinois. The plan prepared by TWM was one of the first approved in the State of Illinois and remains one of few within Illinois outside of the Chicagoland area that has received both U.S. EPA and Illinois EPA sign-off.

The EPA now requires all communities with combined sanitary and storm sewers to develop and submit Long Term Control Plans detailing the municipality’s efforts to reduce overflow issues with those sewers. If your community faces the challenges of sewer planning and requires the assistance of professional engineers, please contact Randy Burk, Manager of TWM’s Environmental Engineering Department, or Chris Bergmann, Project Engineer, Environmental Engineering at (618) 624-4488.
