Caseyville Township Wastewater Treatment Plant Featured by Water and Wastes Digest

August 2012 – The expansion of Caseyville Township Wastewater Treatment Plant, designed by TWM and built in 2008, was featured as a case study by Water and Wastes Digest magazine.  Recognized for its use of AquaSBR sequencing batch reactor technology, the plant can process 4.4 MGD, doubling its previous capacity.

The second treatment train using sequencing batch reactor technology was added parallel to the existing extended aeration process.  Other modifications to the plant included replacing the aeration system for the existing plant reconstruction of sludge facilities, design of a SCADA control system for the treatment plant and wastewater collection system, and reconstruction of the headworks.
