Traffic Engineering Firm Designs Wentzville Pkwy Corridor

Traffic Engineering Firm - TWM

April, 2017 – Traffic engineering firm, TWM, is designing improvements on the Wentzville Pkwy corridor for The City of Wentzville, MO. The City entered into a contract with TWM in 2017 to provide Transportation Engineering Services on the Wentzville Parkway Phase II Project in accordance to MoDOT’s LPA (Local Public Agency) Program Guidelines. The budget for the design and construction of the project is $2.84M.  The project is funded by Federal STP, St. Charles County Road Board, and the City of Wentzville.  When the project is completed, a center turn lane on Wentzville Parkway, a 10′ wide multi-use trail, a 6′ wide sidewalk, and corridor lighting will be constructed between Schroeder Creek Boulevard and Meyer Road.

The new roadway and trail cross section will mimic the recently widened section of Wentzville Parkway located west of the project area.  The proposed improvements will provide a refuge area for left turning vehicles, reducing congestion and improving safety in the project corridor. Additionally, TWM will be designing all the sidewalks, trails, ramps, and crossings to be ADA compliant.

TWM has designed over 25,000 lf of sidewalk and trail, as well as over 800 curb ramps in the last 3 years. To read more about our transportation engineering department, please Click Here.
