TWM Wins Pedestrian Bridge Engineering Project

Pedestrian Bridge Engineering - TWM Engineering Firm

August 2017 – TWM will be the primary engineering firm developing solutions for two pedestrian bridges in St. Louis for the Missouri Department of Transportation. We will be partnering with two DBE firms who will work as subcontractors for us to complete the project:
Millennia Professional Services (Millennia), and Civil Design, Inc. (CDI). Millennia will provide the geotechnical report including the seismic design parameters. CDI’s role will be to assist TWM’s bridge engineers with the preliminary and final bridge designs and plan preparation.

This project will entail the replacement of the bridges, as well as enhancements like ADA accessible ramps, and increasing the vertical clearance to 17’6” to comply with MoDOT policy. TWM has a rich history designing pedestrian bridges in the greater St. Louis region. Over the last 10 years, we have designed 22 DOT bridges, and 16 LPA bridges for clients with state or federal funding. TWM’s engineers have a passion for pedestrian and vehicle roadways, bridges, and trails.
