First founded in 1946 by A. Yorker Wade as the Wade Engineering Company, Thouvenot, Wade & Moerchen, Inc. has dedicated more than 60 years to providing high quality Engineering and Surveying services throughout the Midwest and the St. Louis metropolitan area. Yorker Wade eventually sold his company to several employees, including his son Jerry and another land surveyor, Bill Moerchen.
The firm operated under various partnerships and names until 1978 when it was incorporated as "Thouvenot, Wade & Moerchen" after Rollie Thouvenot, who had joined the firm six years earlier as a civil engineer, purchased an interest in the company. Mr. Thouvenot subsequently became President in 1987, and continues to hold that position today.
TWM has experienced steady growth since Yorker Wade’s humble beginnings, prompting the relocation of its Corporate Office in the fall of 1997 to Benchmark Centre, a 23-acre business park developed by the firm and located in Swansea, Illinois, midway between downtown St. Louis and Mid America Airport.
A dedicated professional staff and state-of-the-art technology assure TWM’s ability to continue its tradition of premium service to clients. The level of our expertise is evidenced by the licensure of our professional staff with 21 Professional Engineers, four Structural Engineers, nine EITs, and seven Licensed Land Surveyors. Support from CAD Designers, Planners, Construction Observers, and Administrative Staff round out project teams.
Named by both the St. Louis Business Journal and the Illinois Business Journal as among the largest and fastest growing engineering firms in the St. Louis region, TWM continues to grow in order to provide the highest level of service to our clients.
