Branch Manager - St. Louis Regional Office
Thouvenot, Wade & Moerchen, Inc. has been listed by the St. Louis Business Journal as one of the largest and fastest growing engineering firms in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Yet we may not be known to many on the Missouri side of the Mississippi River. We currently employ about 90 professional and support staff in our corporate headquarters in Swansea, Illinois, about 15 miles east of downtown St. Louis, and in our Waterloo, IL, branch office, about 15 miles east of the JB Bridge.
We have maintained an office in Creve Coeur for a number of years but have not yet made the push to expand into the St. Louis market. We are now ready to do so, either from our existing Creve Coeur location, or from a new location within the general geographic boundaries of Clayton to the east, Chesterfield to the west, I-70 to the north and I-44 to the south.
We are therefore looking for the right candidate to help start up that office and lead our growth and expansion into the St. Louis market.
That “ideal” candidate will be licensed by the State of Missouri as a Professional Engineer, as a Land Surveyor or as both. They will have experience with municipal, land development, transportation and/or environmental services. They will also have a knowledge of the local client base, including municipalities, MSD, MODOT, and private developers. They should be outgoing and social with the ability and desire to market our firm and its services. They should also have demonstrated people and management skills, preferably with prior experience as a Branch Manager or Department Manager. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to fostering team work and willing to learn and nurture TWM’s culture within the St. Louis office. They will possess an entrepreneurial spirit with a willingness to establish goals and achieve them.
This kind of person can be very successful within the TWM system, where employees are compensated for individual and team effort and where the firm is quick to share the rewards of that collective effort.
Generally, a Branch Manager at TWM reports to the President and directly supervises all staff assigned to the Branch Office. Under the general direction of the President, and in accordance with company policies and objectives, this Branch Manager would be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the St. Louis regional office. As such, he or she would assure that the firm’s goals and objectives are implemented at the branch level and would therefore monitor and direct the efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability of that office.
