Thouvenot, Wade & Moerchen, Inc. designed the replacement of the principal spillway system for the 30-foot high and 475-foot long Class I earthen fill dam for Fairwood Hills Estates in O’Fallon, Illinois. The surface area of the lake is 16.4 acres, and it serves a 363-acre watershed. The lake impounds approximately 193 acre-feet of water. The principal spillway is a 78-inch concrete drop inlet spillway which discharges to a 60-inch reinforced concrete outlet pipe.
