ABOUT US

TWM, Inc. is a 100% employee-owned firm providing civil and structural engineering, land surveying, and other geospatial services. For 77 years, we have served both the public and private sector. With offices centrally located in Illinois, Missouri, and Tennessee, and the ability to work remotely via virtual platforms, we are positioned to serve clients across the U.S.

We serve clients throughout the Midwest and Southeast including Illinois, Missouri, and Tennessee!

CIVIL & STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING SERVICES

Our engineers solve complex infrastructure challenges facing local, state, and federal agencies as well as private industry clients. Whether you’re seeking to revitalize an aging community to attract new businesses and residents, or your goal is to simply maintain a thriving community’s roadways, bridges, shared-use paths, sewers, water supply and/or drainage systems, TWM is a trusted partner that will collaborate with you on a comprehensive plan to achieve a long-term vision for growth.

TWM’s designs range from local streets to new alignments, interstate reconstruction and widening projects, shared-use trail enhancements, ADA-compliant curbs and sidewalks, rural and urban highways, and include the first diverging diamond interchange in Illinois.

Our large structural team designs bridges and associated structures such as retaining walls, sign structure and mast arm foundations, culverts, drop structures, and other unique structures. We also have several NBIS team leaders that provide bridge inspection services.

TWM has a rich history of experience including commercial, residential, institutional, and recreational sites. We assist clients with annexation and zoning, preliminary plat approval, infrastructure design, utility coordination, construction phase services, and final plat approval.

TWM is a recognized leader in water infrastructure and provides facility planning and design services for treatment plants as well as wastewater interceptors, collection systems, lift stations, combined sanitary and storm sewer systems (CSOs), water towers, and water distribution systems.

Implementing a pavement management system can help our government clients efficiently and effectively manage roadways. We use specialized inspection tools to accurately evaluate and rank pavement to forecast short- and long-term budgets.

Our goal is to design every project as if we are performing value engineering services. TWM specializes in handling these kinds of innovative designs, with benefits that expedite schedules, control costs, and allow for greater customization.

TWM can move your project from paper to reality. Our experts ensure that the knowledge, calculations, and engineering skills applied at the drawing board are effectively translated into the actual construction of your project.

TWM technicians can help locate existing and potential problems before they escalate by using CCTV, robotic and push camera inspections, flow monitoring, sewer smoke testing, and water main leak detection for investigation.

GEOSPATIAL SERVICES

TWM operates a large and very robust Geospatial Department to quickly serve our clients. Our services go beyond the traditional. In addition to right-of-way, topographic, construction layout, and engineering survey methods, we also implement reality capture services to collect highly detailed site conditions. We own and operate high definition 3D laser scanners, mobile LiDAR units, and aerial photogrammetry/imaging to gather precision data and measurements.

We have the in-house resources to provide multiple, fully-equipped survey crews matched to a project’s needs. Our expertise includes boundary, ALTA, right-of-way, construction, and engineering surveys.

This reality capture data tool uses an advanced high definition laser scanner to collect millions of data points in a fraction of the time of conventional methods.

An innovative mapping solution, this reality capture technology is truly game-changing! It completes data collection five times faster by collecting survey-quality point data measurements, simply by walking or driving at highway speeds.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are equipped with sensors and cameras for scanning data. Our drone team, who are licensed remote pilots, gather this visual data of job sites to create accurate 3D models for planning and design.

For water-dependent projects, TWM offers a highly skilled team of professionals who measure and map water bodies and shorelines to capture full coverage and data of a project area.

This digital mapping method combines visual features with supporting databases and is used to maintain utilities, monitor transportation conditions, plan conservation, and many other activities.

For these services, TWM employs various detecting equipment to survey and map underground utilities. These tools log utility depth and offset, and data is easily exportable to GIS, CAD, and other applications.

Also known as construction staking, TWM’s engineered layout services use state-of-the-art robotic total stations, 3D laser scanners, and digital levels to provide accurate construction plan information.
