Engineered Layout
Engineered Layout, also known as Construction Staking, is one of the professional construction-related services TWM was founded upon, and this service continues to be one of the cornerstones of our Geospatial Services department. Engineered Layout is the process of taking the information found on the construction plans and physically transferring the information to a construction site. Whether the plans are in a 3D model or on traditional 2D plans, TWM will analyze the information and accurately place it on the ground, in a building or on an elevated structure so construction can commence.
Accurate Engineered Layout is crucial for any construction project to be a success. For this reason, TWM uses state-of-the-art robotic total stations, 3D laser scanners and digital levels. These technologies paired with our diverse construction experience ensures our clients’ projects are completed on-schedule and on-budget.
TWM’s licensed survey professionals provide Engineered Layouts services for a wide variety of projects and clients. Whether you are spanning a new bridge across the Mississippi River, installing a gas transmission main from one state border to the next, or constructing a high-rise apartment complex in a major metropolitan city, TWM has the know-how and expertise to provide you with a reliable and accurate layout for even the most complex construction projects.

As-Builts
We can document this information for your records before, during or after construction. As-built surveying services can be as detailed as needed.
UAV Data Collection
We can take aerial photos via UAV or ground-based photos to capture a snapshot in time for your as-built requirements. We can then upload recorded information to a GIS database for ease of access and organization.
3D Laser Scanning
For more accurate record information, TWM may use a 3D scanner which collects millions of x, y, z points to create a dense area of data. We will convert this data into a point cloud and ultimately use it to create a usable CAD format drawing. Photogrammetry can also depict accurate as-built surveys.
