This project improved neighborhood safety and accessibility through pavement resurfacing, new sidewalks, and traffic calming features such as speed humps and geometric design changes. Early and active public engagement played a key role in shaping the final design. The team hosted two public meetings and met individually with residents to gather input on sidewalk alignment and traffic calming locations. By incorporating community feedback early, the team minimized easement impacts, reduced tree removal, and delivered a design that balanced technical needs with neighborhood priorities.
