TWM provided engineering services, as a sub-consultant, for this regionally significant project that will extend the MetroLink system from Scott Air Force Base to Mid America Airport. Currently under construction, TWM’s scope included 5.3 miles of drainage (entire length of the light rail project), 1.5 miles of public roadway and adjacent, separate bile trail, hydraulic analysis, and bridge design for two large bridges over Silver Creek and Little Silver Creek. The new road is on new alignment with separate, parallel bike trails that were designed from Rieder Road to Airport Blvd. (+/- 2 miles).

The civil design services included roadway and trail vertical and horizontal alignment, hydraulic and hydrologic analysis for box and pipe culverts, roadway inlets and storm sewer outlets, ditch analysis and driveway grading for connections to MetroLink substations, interlockings, and relay houses. Maintenance of traffic plans were provided where work impacted nearby roadways.
