St. Elizabeth’s Medical Campus
TWM’s hospital engineering and surveying services for this project included complete civil site engineering services, and assistance with master planning for St. Elizabeth’s new $253 million hospital campus in O’Fallon, Illinois. The hospital was completed in September, 2017.
When Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) tasked TWM with diverse design services for their new 120-acre hospital site, we were excited to be part of this project. We helped them with geometric design of access and interior roadways, parking facilities, sidewalk / ADA design, storm water drainage and detention, grading and earthwork, and utility infrastructure. TWM also assisted with underground mine mitigation, zoning variances, code compliance, and public meeting coordination. Our construction surveying and 3D laser scanning services aided in the construction of the building by verifying floor tolerances.
The project was part of the HSHS strategic plan to bring world class health care to residents in Southern Illinois. The new O’Fallon Campus will feature:
•Approximately 100 medical/surgical beds
•20 obstetrical beds
•20 rehabilitation beds
The facility will provide intensive care, pediatric, surgical, OB/GYN, oncology, emergency, rehab, cardiac and behavioral health services.
