TWM is passionate about using our shared use path design expertise to create connected, safe, and healthy neighborhoods. We have become the “go-to” team for bike trail planning and design in Southwest Illinois and the greater St. Louis region. The firm is providing on-going design services to the St. Clair County Transit District (SCCTD) for the extension of the MetroBikeLink Trail along the MetroLink alignment in Belleville and Swansea, Illinois. The firm has completed design of two extensions of the trail – from North End Park to the Swansea MetroLink Station a section that also includes a signature bridge over IL Route 159 and a second major bridge over Richland Creek and the Norfolk Southern Railroad – as well as the adjoining section continuing the trail westward to Memorial Hospital MetroLink Station.

TWM’s design is forming the backbone of the bike trail system in St. Clair County, linking MetroBikeLink with Swansea’s Richland Creek Bikeway and Belleville’s Richland Creek Greenway, and providing the opportunity for future expansion of trails throughout the County.
