Stormwater management engineering services on Howard Street were required for this project which served as a continuation of TWM’s work related to the Missouri River Flood Control Improvement Project (Flood Gates). We analyzed the capacities of the existing tributary storm sewer system along Howard Street in the Frenchtown Neighborhood District. Based upon deficiencies found during this analysis, TWM then designed improvements to provide adequate capacities to carry anticipated stormwater volumes from upstream properties taking into consideration the hydraulic profile of the recently constructed downstream collection system behind the MKT Levee. Additionally, surface water collection was improved through the design of additional inlets in key locations along Howard Street. Other tasks completed by TWM include the preparation of easement exhibits as required for the new system, project specifications and special provisions, as well as milestone cost estimates.
