TWM performed wastewater lift station engineering design services for the expansion and upgrade of Belleville’s Water Reclamation Facility. Our scope included a new terminal lift station and force main. The 24” DIP force main included ceramic epoxy lining to provide protection from hydrogen sulfide.
The project also included design of a 200 MGD lift station for combined flows. The combined sewage is pumped through two 60” fiberglass cement force mains and 24” DIP force main to a holding basin. As part of the project, a pipe bridge was used for the pipes crossing over Richland Creek. The force mains were designed to ensure they could drain back to the wet well after pump shut off. Pipe bridge design included coordination with DNR/COE regarding impacts to the floodway.
