TWM’s water tower design for the City of Millstadt included a new 135’ 500,000-gallon water tower and the replacement of several thousand feet of deteriorated water lines. Tasks included the civil engineering, IEPA project design, and the funding study. The new tower is composed of glass fused to steel, meaning it will never rust inside or out, and will never need repainting.
Millstadt received $2.6 million in federal stimulus funds to build the new tower as a replacement for the old 150,000-gallon water tower that had provided water pressure since 1933. The old tower no longer met EPA standards.
